Wiring:

Signal lines utilize a high quality multi-strand, PVC coated wire, designed for high flexibility applications.

This wire is manufactured to Mil-Spec MIL-W-16878-1

The following signal lines utilize a Teflon-insulated, coax-shielded wire, manufactured to MIL-Spec-C-17F.

Cable Lengths:

Test Head Cables are available in two standard lengths;

• 6-foot cable length (1.83 meters)

• 8-foot cable length (2.44 meters)

• Custom cable can be manufactured to meet specific requirements or lengths.

Universal Test Head “A” Cable:

• Universal Test Head “A” Cables can be used on either the LTX TS80 or TS88 Test Station

Contact Pins & Connectors:

• ITT Cannon high quality contact pins are used, with ITT Cannon zero insertion force connectors.

• Contact pins feature heavy gold plate (50 micro-inches), over heavy nickel plate (50 micro-inches).

• This insures consistent contact integrity, & long-term insertion life.

Cable Sleeve:

• The cable sleeve harness is comprised of highly flexible, nylon-braided hose.

• A strain relief at the connector assembly point protects & supports the harness assembly.

Cable weight:

• A 156 Pin “A” or “B” cable weighs less than 3 pounds, a 50% reduction compared to competitive models.

• Lightweight, flexible design reduces stress & wear at the Test Head bulkhead connector.

• Facilitates hardware interconnect to overhead probe, test handlers, & LTX extension units.

Cable Identification:

• Cables are labeled at each end (tester side / fixture side) to facilitate hardware setups.

• The label includes P/N, S/N, & System type.

Cable Maintenance:

• The cables are designed to provide consistent, long-term performance.

• Should a contact pin become bent or broken, in-house maintenance staff can easily exchange / repair.
